Shawn graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Biological Sciences.  He spent about a year working for an achitecture firm as the "office jester" before serving as the youth director at Clemson Presbyterian Church until moving to St. Louis, MO to attend Covenant Theological Seminary in 1999.  He graduated in 2002 and was ordained as the the Assistant Pastor of The Covenant Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, MO. 

In the Spring of 2005 the Presbyterian Church in America called him to move to Charlottesville in order to serve the students at the University of Virginia. He is blessed with a fantabulous wife, Jennifer and three children (William-12; Mary Austin-10; and Annabel 7).

Interns

Libbie Thomas is a recent graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in kinesiology (aka pre-physical therapy). She enjoys spending her time outside, reading, being active, photography, and all things related to music. Having never lived outside the state of Mississippi, she is excited about the opportunity to be at UVa and prove to her homeland that life does in fact exist outside of the SEC.  She loves to drink coffee (sideways)!

Matt Mahla is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in History and Communication Studies. He was born and raised in New England and needed four years in Nashville, TN to finally appreciate sweet tea and SEC football. He is a huge sports fan and loves to spend time with other people...way more than studying, even though he went to Vanderbilt. He is looking forward to serving the students at the University of Virginia and excited to find out what a Wahoo is. He hates coffee.

Megan Roberts is from Savannah, the City of the Garden of Good and Evil and home to Paula Dean. She went to Furman and studied economics. She enjoys running, baking, reading, and playing on the river. Her favorite color is pink.
